A fundraising charity football match will take place on Friday 1st March 2019 in memory of Peter Burr.
A charity team has been set up by the British Heart Foundation and the game will be played to raise awareness of heart disease and raise funds for charity.
Following last year’s successful event against University of Lincoln, which raised over £2000, this year’s match sees the BHF team take on the Lincoln City Former Players Association with a team including Simon Yeo , Terry Fleming , Gavin Gordon , Danny /Mark Hone and more to be confirmed soon . The legendary manager Colin Murphy will be guest of honour .
Organiser of the event, Gary Burr says” I have organised a charity football match in memory of my Dad who died suddenly due to a heart attack 2 years ago. It’s great that we have organised a game against Lincoln City Former Players – already lots of Lincoln City Legends have agreed to play with many more to be confirmed shortly.”
The match takes place at Lincoln United FC, Ashby Avenue, Lincoln. Kick off is at 7.30pm.
