The City of Lincoln Council and Compassionate Lincoln invite you to a conference on 15 March 2019 at the Showroom in Lincoln, where we will discuss key challenges in addressing rough sleeping in the City.
This free conference offers an exciting opportunity to bring together all those stakeholders and interested parties in the city with a passion for tackling street homelessness in the city. With significant government funding flowing into the city to support those who are rough sleeping, the landscape of support is changing rapidly with many different routes now for people finding themselves rough sleeping getting the support and help they desperately need.
Venue: YMCA Lincolnshire, The Showroom, Tritton Road, Lincoln. LN6 7QY
Date: 15 March 2019 – Times: 9.30 to 15:30
This conference therefore defines those routes into support and offers the opportunity for us all to evaluate their success and change them where necessary.
We have speakers from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government as well as speakers offering best practice from across the country, but the main focus will be on what we are doing in the city.
Crucially the conference will bring together people from the volunteering, statutory, third and faith sectors. Together we will map out the roles we can all play to help people most effectively – whether they are on the verge of losing their home, are already rough sleeping, or need help to maintain their new accommodation after a period of rough sleeping. We know that this is an issue that people across the city care passionately about and the greatest change can be achieved through partnership and collaboration: we all have a role to play.
This is a truly unique opportunity so please do come along and be part of designing our collective future vision for the city.
Prior to the conference, would you please download and complete the information below and return to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 1 March 2019.
