On Thursday 9th December from 6pm-8pm Ashcroft Park, Gainsborough, will be the venue for ‘Christmas in the Park’.  The event is being organised by Voluntary Centre Services in conjunction with a number of local organisations and it is the first such event to be held in the park.  Our desire is to bring some light and festive joy to the residents of the South West Ward.

The event will include the planting of a Christmas tree, a Fire Engine, Salvation Army carol concert, face painting, Santa, free gifts and giveaways and a number of community stalls.  The Lincolnshire High Sheriff will also be attending to present awards and prizes for various school competitions we are running.

The local community and organisations have been very generous with donations but we are still short of a few of things – could you help?

  • Battery powered external Christmas lights and decorations to decorate the park
  • Plug in external lights to light up the park and stalls
  • Christmas gifts for the Santa sack – for children and young people

Thank you for anything you can do to help and you are all welcome to come.  See you there.
