Heather has been Area Coordinator for West Lindsey since April 2015 and operates primarily from the Gainsborough office. She has worked for Voluntary Centre Services since 2012 when she was appointed as a full time Project Support Officer. Heather leads on ICT and Communications across VCS and has helped to implement a number of new systems to support the organisation. Heather is currently leading the VCS development of a Social Prescribing Programme, with Gainsborough as the pilot area.
Heather is a PTTLS qualified trainer and delivers courses from our Volunteer Management Programme as well as the Lincolnshire Volunteer Card and Live Well Champions training. She has also developed and delivers 1:1 support sessions for organisations looking to improve their skills around digital tools. She is currently undertaking a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
Heather has helped to organise a number of high profile events in Lincolnshire including three Lincolnshire Heritage Conferences and two V:EXPO events; the Lincolnshire Volunteer Managers Conference.
In previous roles Heather worked as a retail manager whilst completing a Masters Degree in Design for Exhibition and Museums. Heather has volunteered for a variety of projects and committees including Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre development steering group, National Trust disaster management planning project at Nostell Priory, Lincolnshire Heritage Forum and most recently the North Notts and Lincs Community Rail Partnership. Heather is also a Dementia Friend and is part of the West Lindsey Dementia Action Alliance, aiming to make West Lindsey one of the UK's first Dementia Friendly districts.
