Social Prescribing Link Worker

Yvette joined Voluntary Centre Services, taking up the role of Social Prescribing Navigator in September 2018.

Her background is in the NHS, more recently, as an ex-Midwife based at Lincoln County Hospital.  She then went on to work as an Organiser with Home-Start, recruiting, training and matching volunteers in order to provide support to families in the Lincoln area for several years. She gained her PTTLS & CTTLS qualifications to teach over 18 year olds whilst with Home-Start.  She then worked within Education as both an Early Years Worker and Lincoln Team Manager for the Early Years Sector in Children’s Centre’s.

Following this she worked with Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire as Senior Volunteer Co-Ordinator, running the Volunteer department and also as the Co-Ordinator for the MOVE project, helping to support participants to gain skills, experience and qualifications and volunteering/employment, according to their requirements.

She enjoys working within the voluntary and community sector. Her hobbies include making cards, writing poetry and spending time with her family.
