Please see below a message from our friends at the East Midlands Academic Science Network.

Greetings from the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN).

My name is Hannah Rooney and I’ve recently joined the Patient Public Leadership and Equality Team at the EMAHSN.

I am delighted to invite you to the launch of an exciting, new network aimed at people like you who are involved or interested in being involved in local health and social care services.

‘The People’s Network’ – the first of its kind in the East Midlands, is hosted by the Patient Public Involvement Senate and the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network. It aims to connect people who are involved in health and social care services in the East Midlands and provide a place where people can share, be inspired and flourish in their involvement roles.

The free launch event is online via Zoom on Thursday 7th July 2022 from 10am – 12:30pm (you can join from 09:40am to check your connectivity).

We welcome participants from all communities and encourage people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities and people with disabilities, who are often under-represented, to join us the launch.

People from the Deaf community are encouraged to attend and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters will be available for the duration of the event.

For more information about The People’s Network and to book your place for the launch, please click here.

Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Ticket booking closes at midnight Tuesday 5th July 2022.
