Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do to help your local community.  The Friends of Metheringham Airfield (FOMA) maintain and run Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre which utilises original WW2 buildings on part of the former airfield, RAF Metheringham, near the village of Martin. They are now recruiting volunteers for the new season. FOMA is keen to encourage volunteers who are interested in supporting the work of the Friends and Trustees of the former RAF Metheringham and the visitor centre, which is an accredited museum. Join them at their coffee morning to find out more. They have the following vacancies:

  • Stewarding – do you like meeting people, have a keen interest in history, or have experience in a retail environment?
  • Marketing – do you have a flare for promoting activities via social or print media?
  • Fundraising – are you keen to help us raise funds and have experience of doing so for heritage sites or museums?
  • Catering – can you help our catering team to provide refreshments when our hall is hired out?
  • Archivist/Librarian – are you a skilled administrator or are you good at organising documents and books?
  • Education – are you a retired teacher, or have you worked with children?
  • General Volunteering – do you just want to help where you can to keep the memory of those who served at RAF Metheringham?

If any of these roles are of interest to you, book your place using the link and join them: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/volunteer-coffee-morning-at-metheringham-airfield-visitor-centre-tickets-95873617571
