West Lindsey District Council are inviting you to attend the ‘Good Cause’ launch for the West Lindsey Lottery on Tuesday 3 March 2020. They are launching this new online lottery as they recognise that Central Government’s austerity measures have very often hit the local voluntary and community sector the hardest.
60p from every £1 ticket of West Lindsey Lottery will go direct to charities, voluntary organisations and other good causes like you. Players of the lottery can win a £25,000 jackpot, plus smaller prizes.
There are two parts to the West Lindsey Lottery scheme – good causes, will be able to have their own lottery page created, and 50p in every pound spent by players using your web page will be retained by you. A further 10p in every pound will go into a general West Lindsey Community Fund, with the remainder being put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.
At the Good Cause launch you will be able to hear all about the new lottery, how it works and how your organisation can directly benefit from participating.
The launch will take place at Hemswell Court at 7pm where you will be joined by other specially selected good causes in the West Lindsey area. There will be a short presentation by both WLDC and Gatherwell LTD, who are the External Lottery Manager.
WLDC officers will be on hand to provide advice and guidance on what you have to do and the next steps. You can sign up on the day and be one of the first local organisations to benefit from the West Lindsey Lottery.
