Women in Third Sector Leadership

Earlier in 2019 and following discussions it was agreed that there was the potential to develop a new network for Women leaders… in the Third Sector, at the commencement of the process it was an idea that at the time no one knew if there would be interest …..however, several months on and having held three sessions it is clear that there is interest in a Greater Lincolnshire network for women in and aspiring to be in leadership. Alongside the development of the concept, an opportunity to seek a small pot of money was identified by Gail Jackson and consequently CLORE funding has been sourced to create a Lincolnshire chapter.

Women in Leadership Lincolnshire Chapter

The Chapter provides an opportunity for new and emerging female leaders of third sector organisations to gain valuable support, mentoring and networking opportunities both through interaction with peers as well as from established local leaders. The Chapter will also provide a facility for exchange of information through a virtual portal. The Chapter will hold bi-monthly networking meetings at locations throughout the county to ensure as many members are able to benefit, and an annual conference with external inspirational speakers.

A steering group has been formed to plan and develop the chapter. The plan for 2020 is to rotate sessions around different districts with a final event to held towards the end of the year. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 6th February 2020, in Horncastle.
